Time for a Response to What You Read!

  1. When you return here, click on your email message to me and record your response to the segment of the story you just read.
  2. Start your entry by giving the name of the segment ("D1" to "D7") you are responding to.
  3. You can write as much as you want after reading each segment, because, as you know, the word processor will add lines for you as you write.
  4. After each entry, add a row of asterisks to separate this response from your other responses.
  5. Then select the next story segment below and read it.
  1. Return to your email message and look back on all your responses to the segments.
  2. Write a final overview of your reaction to the story. Label it "Final." Speculation about the story's meaning (to you or to anyone) or the author's reasons for writing the story are not inappropriate at this point.
  3. Send a copy of the email with all your responses to yourself, so you have it for reference. Then send the message to me.
  4. If you are not done at the end of the class period, change your email message so it is sent to you instead of to me. Then you can finish it later on in the day, and then send it on to me. Don't forget to keep or send a copy of the final version for yourself.
