Work Completion: This method of calculating the final grade applies only to students who satisfactorily complete all assignments, especially the swipe file. Students who do not complete all assignments in a satisfactory manner may have their grades determined at the discretion of the instructor.
Attendance: Because class discussion constitutes an integral part of the course, you are expected to attend class regularly. If you do not meet the attendance requirement, you will not be considered to have satisfied the course's requirements, even if you turn in acceptable work in the other assignments. Students who have more than two unexcused absences can expect their grades to be lowered by a letter grade for three unexcused absences. A fourth unexcused absence will lead to a failing grade (not withdrawal from the course).
